Happy #InternationalWomensDay!
If that is not another, the Oprah interview with Meghan and Harry is causing a stir. Maybe that seems staged or ridiculous to some of you. But being an American and the mother of a mixed race child living in the UK, let me tell you it is significant.
Unlike back home, where you have ‘white supremacists’ who storm the halls of congress or abuse their power in law enforcement (we know no one like that – more of him in a bit), racism here is tied up with classism. Which is, of course, directly linked to the monarchy. I have gone from the sixteen-year-old, who got up at 3 A.M. to watch the wedding of the century (20th, of course) to an advocate for abolishing the institution.
I know I say I don’t push my political agenda. But racism and classism are not political issues. They are human rights issues. Those along with environmental ones, I won’t and can’t shut up about.
But there are other more personal developments, too. In addition to beginning a healthier lifestyle regime, the other big thing today was…
I killed another two off.
To this song…
One of them, I’m sure everyone will be doing a happy dance for. But the other is a surprise. It was even to me. And I’m not saying anymore. You’ll just have to wait a bit.
So, where do we stand?
From here on out, it is tying up loose ends, handing out those happily-ever-afters, and setting things up for #ReconciliationTX. I should still be finished with writing it by the Spring Equinox (March 20th). But ya’ll might not have it all until the end of the month.
I will finish editing and posting Rings of Fire this weekend, too. Which is important because I will be writing the Apocalypse series alongside of Reconciliation. I’m not sure how that’s gonna work yet. If I will have set days for each or just whatever comes from my muse.
Next month is #CampNaNoWriMo. The camps are much less structured than actual #NaNoWriMo in November. It allows you to count either edits or new words, or both. This year I’m using April camp to focus on editing #TroubleTexasStyle. Let’s be honest – that shits a mess. Right now, it’s such a mess I don’t even feel comfortable promoting it the way I do other stuff.
Because it started out as four separate but related books, none of the early stuff is in any order that makes sense. And while one of you (Arthur) has taken on the task of editing that cluster fuck as Jack and Reb would call it, there are still loads of decisions that only I can make about the order of things that are happening concurrently.
Oh, and did you notice I’m still missing one book in the Njörður’s trilogy. I’m gonna do my best to finish that up by the end of this month, too. Then I think all my finished books will be #freereading on here.
And it is spring…I have an #urbanfarm & #homestead to work on. Here are a few of my latest plants babies…
I need to get off here and get my other work done now.
Goddess bless you all with acceptance and safety,
Tara
