I have spent so much time making changes to this website today that my eyes are crossed. And there are still loads more to come.
I have added two more edited chapters of Tight Fittin’ Jeans, too. I am a perfectionist. So, most of these edits are so small that you won’t even notice them if you read it before.
But that is not always the case. For instance, I have changed the name of One Night Stand to Love in the First Degree, in order to keep with my country music theme as titles. When I wrote those first two chapters at Lit, I had no idea where the story was going and I had not even thought of Trouble Texas Style.
I rarely made changes at Lit because it was this whole big thing. I had to send a private message requesting it and then fill in a submission form and wait days, the same as for a new story. It just was not worth it, usually.
This is my baby. So, I can make changes anytime I like. Oh, I will be changing the name of Night Walker’s Woman before I post the edited, complete novel to the Books page. I am thinking of making it my first contest here. So, get your thinking caps on, folks.
You may notice that I have changed the way that the stories are organized as well. I hope to make another couple of changes soon. I want it to be as simple as possible for you to find what you are looking for.
For now, if you are looking for new chapters (or old ones), then use the drop down menu at the top of the page. Find Trouble Texas Style. Under it are all four books, click on the one you want. On that page you will find:
- A photo or photos of the couple.
- A brief blurb about the story.
- The chapters to date listed and if I have edited and posted that chapter, it will be a bold greenish-blue. Click on that to take you straight to the story page.
I hoping next week to make that even simpler.
There is loads more, but it is getting late here in the UK.
And after four months, tomorrow my partner, daughter, and I are released from Covid jail/heaven. My partner has asthma and is high-risk. So, we have been quarantined as a precaution since March 16th. Wait? That’s five months, not four? Good thing I am a writer and not a mathematician. In addition to all those website changes, edits and new writes, I also sewed this for him:

But just so you believe me, when I tell you that I am still writing, let me share this snippet of a conversation between Ryan and his cousin Rex:
“You know, Grandfather believes that we all have mates. Humans, as well as skinwalkers. He thinks that the difference is humans have lost touch with that part of themselves.” Rex reached over and began slipping Chloe’s little legs into the appropriate slots.
“I’m not sure I agree completely. I think that humans do have the instinct to sense their mates. But they have been conditioned not to trust such things. So, they put themselves and other people through these stupid and sometimes harmful mating rituals. They spend months and years hiding who they are. Pretending to be someone they aren’t. Just to attract someone who isn’t who they think they are either.”
That will appear in the next chapter of Love in the First Degree (formerly One Night Stand). Hopefully, early this coming week. And speaking of which…
Okay, nite-nite and goddess bless each of you and keep you safe,
Tara
